Build 67

Build 67 brings no new features. It is dedicated to modernizing and resizing infrastructural components, which include:

1. New virtual machines for the web and database servers. These servers have more CPU and RAM, both of which will increase system performance.

2. Updated web platform with updated Tomcat server.

3. Updated application software for compatibility with the platform.

Here's what you should expect:

1. Improved performance. Most screens and processes will be slightly faster.

2. A slightly different appearance. Along with the updated server platform comes an updated UI library. We don't control this; we just use it. This affects how various themes appear. The library has some new themes while retiring some. In particular, the Blue Opal theme being retired, which was previously the default. We highly recommend switching your theme to Classic Silver for best overall compatibility. We're not particularly happy with the new UI library, but it is what it is and will be a soft change for end users. But everything is still in the same place - we did not move the furniture around.

3. The DNS has changed. That means https://secure.pobits-web now points to a different IP address. When you first log in, you may have problems such as address not found or the system not loading after you log in. Resolve this by clearing your browser's cache (files and cookies, for all time) and pressing F5 until the screen loads properly.

4. On the Classic PHS, the row of buttons across the top of the investigator's narrative for each section will not display the button labels until you hover over them. This will be fixed very shortly.

Here's what you should do:

1. Clear your browser's cache (files and cookies, for all time) if you have any problems accessing or loading the system.

2. Use the system normally. Enjoy a more responsive system.
