We don’t host POBITS in our office. POBITS is hosted in the Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure. This infrastrucure is FedRAMP certified and used by a variety of local, state, and federal clients for their sensitive data hosting requirements.

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP is mandatory for Federal Agency cloud deploy-ments and service models at the low and moderate risk impact levels. Additional information on FedRAMP, including the FedRAMP Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Guide to Understanding FedRAMP, can be found at:

POBITS was designed from the beginning with application security as the first objective. System users other than investigators have time-limited access to the system. When their participation is com-plete, their access is automatically revoked by the system.

Investigators do not manage system access and credentials, they simply “invite” participants. POBITS does the rest.
