Build 69
Updated: 23 hours ago
Update 10/20:
My platform vendor has identified the issue and it is resolvable. For now, I am waiting to see if they have a specific resolution, but if not, I can resolve it myself. This is not likely to last more than another day. Thank you for your patience!
UPDATE 10/19:
After deployment, users have indicated that supplemental forms cannot be retrieved and the full background report cannot be generated. The full background report is likely failing because it cannot retrieve the supplemental forms or attachments. This issue appears to be related to the platform update and neither functions were modified as part of the recent build. I have to work with the platform developer to identify and resolve the issue. While they are responsive, these things may take a little time and I request your patience. I will advise via this blog when the issue is resolved or I receive any updates from the provider.
Build 69 includes the following feature updates and changes:
Narratives and Executive summaries now include the ability to apply rich text including bold, underline, italics, font size, font color, and bulleted and numbered lists. A few standard HTML markups could not be supported in the report engine, such as tables, line indents, or various justifications. If you don't see a button for it on the toolbar, then it couldn't be supported. I am entirely dependent on the platform developer for this feature but the HTML decoder in use may or may not get an upgrade someday. If it does, I will implement it.
For the Modern PHS Narrative Summary, there is now an option to keep all sections together or insert a page break between each. Please let me know if you would like to see this feature on the other PHS versions.
Made a modest change to the wording on the Modern PHS. The Drug use section now asks the question:
I have information to disclose regarding my past and/or present drug usage
The Employment Section now asks the question: I have information to disclose regarding my prior applications to the following law enforcement agencies. These statement were expanded to add more clarity as to how the candidate is to respond.
One affect of this change is that any existing narratives and executive summaries may need adjustment because the existing text is now in an HTML format and certain things like multiple spaces and paragraph returns are handled differently. I hope you will appreciate this new feature in spite of these required adjustments. Going forward with new narratives and executive summaries, your text input should flow naturally and you will have a more accurate appearance of your content.
