Build 21: New Features and Fixes for Customers

General:

  1. The underlying development environment has been upgraded. This update by design does not include any new or improved functions because the purpose is simply to upgrade the platform in place. However, the platform upgrade required a few modifications to maintain compatibility. These modifications were exclusively in the reports because the reporting engine was improved in this upgrade and most reports required some very slight but very necessary changes for compatibility. This platform upgrade does provide the developer with a few new capabilities to offer new features. For example, we can now provide a mask for date fields which will make it easier for users to understand the date format as they enter dates. While not implemented yet, this and a few other basic improvements will be published soon.

  2. Along with the platform upgrade, the Tomcat web server was updated to version 8.5 which has several security updates.
